GEA Liquid Processing delivers different types of UHT modules in collaboration with our aseptic specialists from GEA TDS.  The chosen module depending on the product to be treated, the product quality and efficiency:

 


UHT Module, Type I
These types of UHT Modules work according to the indirect heating principle. Using this method the UHT module, Type I provides a very high production safety thanks to the use of tubular heat exchanger type S and M. The UHT Plants have optimized flow conditions which produce good product quality and high efficiency with a heat recovery up to 90 %.

UHT Plant, Type P
Similar to the UHT Plant Type I, the UHT Plant Type P is based on indirect heating principle.
The use of GEA tubular heat exchanger, type P provide a unique direct product/product heat recovery, leading to extreme high efficiency in the tubulat heat exchanger (smaller surface is needed).

UHT Plant, Type D
The direct heating method used in these UHT Plants. They offers the advantage of a very high product quality. The integral steam injector and a flash cooler provide very short dwelling times in the temperature intensive zones. The efficiency is not as high as achieved by indirect heating and food grade steam quality is of course required.  

UHT pilot module type L
The UHT pilot plant type L is a compact module which allow easy transportation to the desired location. The UHT methods, indirect and direct can be applied to the module as required. It stands out by its extraordinary flexibility.
